Safety and staff support

Your safety and security is our prime concern. We have many procedures and systems to ensure you have the support you need to enjoy your trip with peace of mind. Our Projects Abroad staff are available 24 hours a day to help, and will be on hand to make sure you settle in well at your accommodation and placement. If you encounter any problems, they will be available to help at any time.

Where we are based in Spain

We're based on Barcelona and Valencia, two of Spain's best known and most interesting cities.

Both offer exceptional Mediterranean cuisine, historic architecture, and modern amenities.

When you're not volunteering or interning, take advantage of Spain's extensive rail network to explore other regions, from Madrid's museums to the Costa Brava's hidden coves.

Barcelona

Our Marine Conservation and Community Development programs are based in Barcelona, the exciting capital of Catalonia. This cosmopolitan city offers a perfect blend of urban culture and coastal beauty. Between dive sessions or educational workshops, explore the artistic heritage of Antoni Gaudí, wander through the Gothic Quarter, or relax on Barceloneta Beach.

Valencia

Our Medical Internships are based in Valencia, Spain's third-largest city. Known for its City of Arts and Sciences, historic old town, and stunning beaches, Valencia offers an authentic Spanish experience. Here you'll work at health clinics and work alongside local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) while experiencing the famous paella and world-class festivals.
